I am entering this quilt in the Baby Quilt Category

I am pretty much in love with this quilt.

I have decided it is so much fun making small quilts. They come together so fast and are really fun to quilt. I am also in love with the color scheme and vibrancy of these fabrics.  Most of the fabrics are from the High Street Line.

I want to introduce you to my newest love:

Fair-and-Square

For the complete tutorial and video for this quilt go here.

 Isn’t it lovely?

I made this quilt top from scraps I had left over from another quilt I am working on.  I paired the fabrics with a neutral white to achieve a really vibrant quilt.

The quilting was all done on my domestic sewing machine.  I did a flower design in each of the solid blocks and a loopy loop pattern on the pieced blocks.  These two patterns really complemented each other and gave the quilt a whole other dimension.

The quilt consists of four different blocks, that are really simple.  I used three different pieced blocks, and one solid block to really add pops of color.

The backing is a cozy flannel print that really complements and coordinates with the front of the quilt.

I hand binded this quilt and used the bright pink fabric to tie everything together.  I also felt like it framed up the quilt nicely.

I am in the process of compiling a free pattern/tutorial on the complete quilt top and the free motion quilting.   This quilt is a baby sized quilt, but could easily be made any size by adding more blocks.

Like I said, I’m in love.

Talk to you soon,
