Hi there! I hope you all had a great weekend! My mom and sister came to visit and see our new house! So we had fun hanging out with them all weekend. We also started on our fence for our yard! Wahoo! I am taking pictures of all the progress, and will post soon.

So onto my latest finish.  This quilt was made from a mistake.  This was the center of a much larger quilt top that I had made.  Unfortunately for some reason that quilt top would not lay flat. So I kind of just folded it up and forgot about it.  Well, when were were moving, I found the quilt top and decided to give it a new life.  I cut out the center granny square–and made it into a baby size quilt! And I pretty much love how it turned out!

The quilt measures about 36″ square.  I did meandering for the quilting on my own machine.  I have decided that my sewing machine does not do well with meandering! The past two times I have tried to meander—I have had major thread breakage issues and my machine is skipping stitches.  I don’t know what I am doing wrong, if you have any ideas I would love to hear them!

I am thinking of making a pattern for this quilt. It is layer cake friendly, and super easy.  Let me know if you’d like the pattern for this and if I get a pretty good response–I will post one!

Talk to you soon,
