Happy Friday! :)
I am feeling SOO much better now. I think I have pretty much kicked the flu to the curb, and am finally on the mend. :) I have several quilts all going on right now, and I am hoping to have this one finished soon!
I am a little sick of the hearts, but for some reason I decided I needed to make more heart blocks, and make it into a quilt. I don't understand my thought process sometimes!
I used Lovey Dovey by Riley Blake and instead of using a white background fabric, I decided on a light gray color. These are very scrappy and really quite busy, but they are a lot of fun and I plan on giving this to my daughter who loves pinks and purples! She has no idea I am making it for her, so I am excited to see how she reacts to it! She's been begging me to make her a quilt for a while now! :)
I just have to sew the blocks together and add in some extra gray sashing in between the rows, and the top will be finished. I am going to put a flannel backing on it and try and quilt it this weekend!

Normally busy wouldn't be my favorite but this fabric is perfectly appropriate for this block. It's so happy. It looks like sprinkles or candy and the gray reads so much better than a bold white. Lovely!
