Hi there! I am excited to share with you another one of my mom's creations! I really can't keep up with all the quilts and fun stuff she has been making. Today I wanted to share with you this fun "braided quilt" with you today.
My mom and I are pretty much obsessed with the Missouri Star Quilt Company and we love watching Jenny's awesome tutorials. I am certain my mom could own stock in their company because she orders from their online store on a weekly basis! She found their "Friendship Braid" Quilt tutorial a while back and had to make one:

The quilting was done by our good friend Kathy. She did loops in the braids and then hearts in the borders. The backing is a nice cozy flannel and really compliments the quilt. My mom also did the binding by hand. I call my mom the binding fairy because she is absolutely amazing when it comes to hand binding quilts. She always does a beautiful job and her binding stitches are always so even. I am really quite envious of her binding skills! :)

Very cute! I've been wanting to make a braid quilt.
This is such a pretty quilt! I've done a chunky, bold braid quilt before, and had lots of fun with it. I made it slightly different and did a little tutorial on it. I liked working with the wider strips, since usually braid quilts are made with smaller pieces.
