I was giddy with anticipation waiting for this fabric to arrive! My husband made fun of me because when I got the package in the mail it was like I was opening a package with a million bucks. Sadly, it wasn't a million bucks, but it was this awesome fabric that I ordered from MSQC.
Before I started to sew, I just put up the charms on my design wall according to color. I think I just stared at this wall for a good 15 minutes before an idea came to my mind. I am making this quilt for someone and I want to make sure I make it with their personality and taste in mind.
I am not sure if I will use all the colors in the same quilt, but I am definitely using the grey and yellow. I know that for sure. I will be making an original pattern using these fabrics and share the tutorial with you when it's all done! :)

Onto other news:
yes, this happened.
yes, it's pretty.
no, I am not happy it.
I thought I was prepared for winter, and then this happened. I realized like every year before, winter is not my friend and I would much rather just skip this season. :)
Has is snowed where you live yet?

Happy mail! Gorgeous charms! Looking forward to seeing what you dream up. Yes, it has snowed here already, but then warmed up again... for now! I would like to skip winter, too. Except on Christmas day.
Excited for you about the beautiful fabric! No it hasn't snowed in Virginia yet, and often it doesn't snow, just looks dreary for months, which I also dislike. You must be much farther north than us - sorry the snow arrived at your place so soon. . . Meet me in Florida :)

I really like how the details of the fabric make the blocks appear more complex. A great use of prints.
Lovely charms! It hasn't snowed yet here (Scotland) - I totally agree with you about winter but I can cope better with bright and snowy than the grey days!
Yeah the husband's don't quite understand us quilty wives when it comes to fabric squishies in the mail! Ha!
We live in NC so snow is pretty rare. I actually miss it now since being away from WI for so many years. Never thought I would say that! A little snow can go a long way....just sayin' My 5 yr old son would be in heaven!
