It's been a while...and some unnecessary excitement!

Since I've been gone from the bloggy universe a lot has changed.

I feel like a newbie all over again.
There is a plethora of new social networking sites that more people are using that I am just signing up for!
When I quit blogging, pinterest was just getting started!! Now, I use pinterest on a daily basis.
(totally of the subject, but I hate how my spell checker doesn't recognize the word pinterest, anyone else out there have the same pet peeve? or is it just me and my dorkiness?)

Anyways, back on the topic..

Things I am working on:

1. Google +  I can't decide whether I really like it or not.  I am not sure what circles are, why they are important, or if I have any! lol....but I am slowly getting the hang of it..... I think.  Any tips or pointers you have would be awesome!!

2. Flickr.  I just signed up for a flickr account.  You can see it here.  I will try and keep it updated and do whatever one does on flickr.... :)  If you have a flickr group and want me to join, just shoot me an email or leave a comment and I would be more than happy to start following your group.

3. Twitter.  No, I don't have a twitter account, *gasp*  not even a personal twitter account.  I am still on the fence about getting one. Would love to hear any feedback about twitter and if it helped your blog business.

4. Instagram.  I have a personal instagram account. (just got one a few months ago...)  I am thinking of creating one just for the blog.  Is that what bloggers are doing now?  I have no idea! Man I feel like a social network dork right about now! :)

5. Pinterest.  I can actually say I have a Pinterest account! You can follow me here if you'd like! :)

6. Blog Lovin.  I just discovered that one yesterday.  So here is the link if you want to start following me there.

Onto the unnecessary excitement:

My son decided to get himself stuck in our play kitchen yesterday afternoon.  I called my husband in hysterics asking him to come home to try to get him out!  He had to leave a meeting he was in and come home to CUT him out of the play kitchen.  We literally had to destroy the kitchen to get him out.

If I find any new grey hairs on my head tomorrow, I will know who to blame!
(did i just admit to having some grey hair?)

Oh my goodness that's so scary about the kitchen! I'm sure he just thought he was having fun :-)

No you are not a social media dork. I mainly blog and have auto-updating "thingies" set up for twitter and facebook.

I keep trying to learn pinterest, I love flickr (for my quilt alongs) and I'm staying away from Instagram. I'm worried it will be too much of a time suck, LOL!
