A Work in Progress...

Hi there!  I am happy to announce that my sewing machine and I have spent a lot of quality time together the past couple of nights.  My allergies are significantly better, and I am no longer carrying around a box of kleenexes wherever I go. :)

So, I have been itching to start a new quilt.

I have three quilts in progress at the moment.

I don't know if I have lost my sanity (very debatable) or if I am just like any other quilter.

I wanted to create an original pattern and share it with you for free.

So this is what I've been working on:

{Blocks on my design wall}

 I'm sure I will be arranging and rearranging all the blocks until I have it just right.
This picture doesn't show all the blocks sewn, if you look really closely you can see the square in a square blocks are not sewn together...they are pretty much just haphazardly stuck on there.....so I could see what it looked like.

Also, I have three of the same patterned fabrics in different colors all by each other...which is bothersome.  So there will be some definite rearranging going on! :)

I am really loving the way it's coming together and I can't wait to share the pattern and complete tutorial with you.

What are you working on right now?
Do you like to design your own patterns?

Talk to you soon,

Ooooo! I love your new design, Lindsey! It is looking great. Can't wait to see the tutorial! And, yes, I like to design my own patterns, too. The whole process of making your vision into a finished quilt and pattern is so much fun!

You're so thoughtful...working on a quilt pattern for us! I love those fabrics too!

Right now I'm trying to get some baby quilts finished so that I can move on to bigger and better things. =)
