Okay, I am ready for it to be February! I've made another Valentine's Decoration that is super simple to make and really inexpensive. I decided to call it "heart tree" I like how it turned out and it was so easy to make! You could also make this into a card or even have your kids help you make it.
It was really easy to make and all you need is:
a small frame
paper
buttons
ribbon
glue
All I did to make this was cut out a bunch of hearts with my cricut machine in different sizes ranging from an inch to 1/2 an inch. To make the tree I just free handed a tree and cut it out of brown paper. I also cut out the word "love" to add to the side. To finish it off just add some buttons and a ribbon.
So fun and inexpensive. I hope you like it!
Okay, so now for the advice part. I have a dilemma. I am trying to potty train my little girl and since she is my first, I have no idea what I'm doing. :) It is not as simple as I thought!! I have tried a couple of different things with her and I know she is ready and she is interested, but for some reason she just won't go in the potty. So.........i am looking for any suggestions or advice that you might have!!! Any suggestions would help!! :)

SUPER CUTE!!!!
your heart tree is adorable and would make a great card.
for potty training my daughter we used a sticker reward system..it was a little booklet chart and stickers that came free in the mail with coupons for Kando wipes. When we bought the Kando wipes we bought a starter kit that came with a little step stool, foaming hand soap and a wipe container with refile wipes. Walmart sold it at the time. Hope this helps.
there is a book called "Potty Training in Less Than a Day" that had some fabulous ideas in it. Although I didn't get my kids potty trained in a day it WAS less than a week!
I tried too early the first time. The second time I tried it was a few months later - she was about 30 months and it just clicked with her. We also let her get her ears pierced when she was trained; which I think she regretted since she didn't know it would hurt that much! Good luck! And CUTE valentine idea.
I LOVE your valentine tree!!! I think I am going to have to make one. Hope you don't mind me copying all your cute ideas.
Cute tree!
I read Potty Train Your Child in Just One Day by Teri Crane and followed her method. It worked great for my 2 1/2 year old. They have to be ready to do it, so if yours is then I totally recommend it.
I've done potty training in one day - and although it wasn't one day, it was about 3 days. My advice is to cancel everything else and just potty train for a couple days. No trips to the store, try to get meals ready so you don't have to spend time in the kitchen. Just follow your daughter for three days and she'll have it. At least I've done this twice and am gearing up for our third.
love your page!!
with my first kid i did the potty train your kid in one day method and it worked beautifully. on number two i could tell that he wasn't going to be as quick so i took the chill out method. i waited till warmer months and set aside a week. we stayed home and he played in his unders most days. i set a timer for every 30 min (this changed once i figured out how often he tinkled) and we would at least sit on the potty every 30 min. we had fun drinks (that makes them potty more often and give them more practice), books, and stickers in the bathroom... that is how i got him to sit on the potty. he had lots of accidents the first three days and then got LOTS better... not perfect.. but manageable.
hope that helps... but i really do recommend warmer temps so that you do less laundry. :)

This is so cute! Good luck with the potty training. I would give you advice but my 3 yr old just pooped himself not once but twice today while out shopping. I obviously am not the expert here :). Good luck!
I LOVE it! wow - so cute! I'm totally gonna make it. :)
We used 3 Day Potty Training with both my girls and it worked like a charm. Both of them are very strong willed but we had them both full trained in 3 days. Days, nights, #1 and #2. If you google 3 Day Potty Training you will find it. :)Totally worth it.
Adding you to my blog roll. :)
This is way too cute! I love it! I just found your blog and absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing such cute ideas.

Lindsey,

Linda
Love the valentine tree.
When I first tried to potty train mine, I left my son sitting on the potty while I ran to get the kids' pajamas. Just as I was coming back into the room my son peed on my daughter while he was sitting on the potty and she was standing in front of it. Then they wouldn't have a thing to do with the potty for at least 6 months. I don't recommend that method. lol
Very pretty, almost whimsical! Thanks for sharing! I've posted a link at childmade.com.
