"Be Mine"

Happy New Year!!! Wow! I can't believe it's already 2010! I hope 2010 is even better than 2009! It has been a great year. I love the begining of a new year...but can i just say I'm not a fan of the month of January! :) It's just so blah!

Anyways, I have been trying to think of some Valentine's crafts to decorate my home since I don't really have much of anything for February. So I came up with this wood board sign that says, "be mine".

It was really simple and inexpensive to make. I decided that I would just lean it against a wall, but you could also hang it with some ribbon if you'd like as well. To make this all you need is a wood board, paint, distressing ink, ribbon, vinyl, buttons, and some red cardstock. I just painted the board white and distressed it with sanding and some distressing ink. I cut out the letters with the cricut cartridge "alphalicious" and I cut out the hearts from "george and basic shapes" I just added some buttons and ribbon for embellishments.

I really like how it turned out and I want to make some more Valentine's crafts! If you have any Valentine's crafts you'd like to share, just leave a comment. I would love to see your ideas.

I hate January too. I have skipped past the wintery/snowflake decor and gone straight to Valentine's Day. But I'm on the tightest budget so I'm going cheapo!
Here are a couple things I've done so far. And I'll be bookmarking your cute sign to add to my list of projects.

I love it! I so need to start my Valentine's things but I can't find the courage to even put away my Christmas things. (I know. Terrible.) Thanks for posting this encouragement.

It turned out cute. I'm going to have to try a distressing stamp - I keep seeing them in blog land.
