I have wanted to make a banner for a while. I have seen people making banners everywhere! They are so popular right now! I decided to make a banner out of mini matchboxes and do it for the 12 days of Christmas! I love how it turned out!! It did take a little more time than the advent calendar but I love it!
I decided to make it the 12 days of Christmas and put a different activity in each day for my daughter. So I am still thinking of things to put in it. If you have any ideas let me know! (she is only 2...so her attention span is very small!)

since she's only two I guess you're limited unless she doesn't EVER put things in her mouth anymore. One option is writing cute little notes (decorated with glitter and/or stamps/or even stickers) and have little treats, like a kiss from mom or extra story at bedtime written on them. Good luck. Totally cute idea. Once she gets older, I think those little miniature hershey's bars fit perfectly inside.
I love this idea!
Your banner is really cute.
Some activity ideas may be - a special Christmas book at bedtime, an easy craft activity, decorating Christmas cookies, watching a special Christmas cartoon on TV, going to see Santa, etc. My daughter loves going for rides in the car in her pajamas. Your daughter might like a pajama car ride to go look at Christmas lights, or something like that. You could also make "reindeer food" with her to put out on Christmas Eve.
I love Christmas...I could probably drive you crazy with ideas!
Thanks for the great ideas!!! I love Christmas as well! And I can't wait to do some of these ideas!
That's one of the most darling banners I've seen!
I have been looking all over for matchboxes...where did you get yours? Thanks!
Ok forget my question - I saw on your advent tree (can't remember what you called it!) that you said it was at your dollar store. I am not feeling lucky about finding them there - but I will check! Thanks.
I get them at my local dollar store! they come in 10 in a package or sometimes 12!
